Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2011El actual mercado globalizado exige cada vez más a las organizaciones excelencia en cuanto a la calidad del producto o servicio que presta, por tal motivo estas deben adquirir la capacidad de adaptación a estos cambios para lograr tener un nivel de competitividad que les permita permanecer en el mercado. El objetivo de este trabajo investigativo es conocer las diferentes estrategias implementadas y a implementar por los mayoristas de medicamentos en Pereira y Dosquebradas que satisfacen los requerimientos legales en aspectos logísticos, los resultados se obtuvieron a través de entrevistas realizadas en tres empresas representativas en la distribución de productos farmacéuticos. Se evaluaron factores como las formas de almacenamiento, diseño de los centros de distribución, tercerización de procesos, control y manejo de inventarios y sistemas de información entre otros aspectos que formaron parte fundamental del proyecto investigativo, todo esto con el fin de conocer el estado en el que se encuentran estas empresas en cuanto a implementación de estrategias para cumplir con los requerimientos logísticos.The current global market increasingly requires organizations to excellence in product quality or service provided, for this reason they must acquire the ability to adapt to these changes to achieve a level of competitiveness that allows them to remain in the market. The objective of this research paper is to understand the different strategies implemented and implemented by drug wholesalers in Pereira and Dosquebradas that meet legal requirements in logistics, the results were obtained through interviews conducted in three representative companies in the distribution of pharmaceuticals.
