Se relacionan estos temas, con el fin de hacer un análisis del estado actual de la tecnología que utilizan los hoteles de la ciudad de Pereira, o si ya usan tecnología emergente como el Big Data, ya que, dentro de la capital cafetera no existe dicho estudio, además, se describe todo el proceso de una encuesta realizada a personas de diferentes cargos de los hoteles clasificados entre tres y cinco estrellas de la ciudad. Inicialmente se evaluó el realizar la encuesta a todos los hoteles de la ciudad, pero dado los términos de inversión que se deben tener en cuenta para este tipo de tecnología se determinó que la población estuviera enmarcada en hoteles de una categoría más alta a 3 estrellas. Después de realizadas las encuestas se presentan resultados donde se puede observar que en su gran mayoría almacenan información en sistemas básicos como lo es el office, algunos tienen sistemas de información transaccionales especializados para hoteles y algunos tienen un leve conocimiento de lo que es el Big Data, pero, aun así, no invierten en tecnología de software y hardware, adicionalmente se encuentra que estos hoteles presentan desconocimiento de temas como el Business Intelligence. También se encuentra que una gran mayoría poseen página web y manejan las principales redes sociales así como diferentes metabuscadores, lo cual puede ser una fuente importante de información por lo tanto, se hace importante el validar la inversión que se realiza en hardware y software, así como sistemas transaccionales y de acuerdo a lo anterior poder pensar en una implementación de sistemas de información gerencial como lo es Big Data, determinando muy bien el enfoque que se daría a estos y la posibilidad de tomar mejores decisiones en las diferentes áreas.In this work, there is an analysis of terms related to Big Data, Business Intelligence, hotels, tourism, among others. These topics are related, in order to make an analysis of the current state of technology used by hotels in the city of Pereira, or if they already use emerging technology such as Big Data, since, within the coffee capital there is no such The study also describes the entire process of a survey carried out among people of different positions in hotels classified between three and five stars in the city. Initially, the survey of all hotels in the city was evaluated, but given the investment terms that must be taken into account for this type of technology, it was determined that the population was framed in hotels of a higher category of 3 stars.
