Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2010La empresa OFIARCHIVO LTDA en su contante proceso de desarrollo a nivel competitivo, la administración de los inventarios se ha establecido como el elemento fundamental para definir parámetros de competitividad de los productos y o servicios, definiendo los márgenes de contribución buscados por la empresa o los que están siendo alcanzados. Razón por la cual se estudia desde la teoría de administración de los inventarios y financiera las características existentes en el manejo de los inventarios dentro de la empresa y los desarrollos teóricos en la materia. El objetivo planteado: Identificar y analizar una propuesta de mejoramiento al sistema de inventarios, que permita establecer un sistema de información pertinente para la toma de decisiones. Condujo a resolver la pregunta que guío el desarrollo de este trabajo ¿Identificar y analizar una propuesta de mejoramiento al sistema de inventarios, que permita establecer un sistema de información pertinente para la toma de decisiones?, teniendo como unidad de análisis la empresa OFIARCHIVO LTDA. Esta investigación condujo al conocimiento del manejo de los inventarios, las variables que inciden en el proceso, las fortalezas y debilidades en el manejo y las posibles soluciones para mejorar su manejo de manera que permita maximizar los beneficios de la organización. /Abstract: The company ofiarchivo ltda. In its constant process for develpmentin a competitable way, the inventory managment has been stablished as a fundamental element to define the competition parametersof the products and services, definig the proffit margins searched by the company or the ones being reached. Reason why it is studied from the theory of inventory and financial administration the existing specifications in the inventory managment of the company and the theoretic develepment in this matter. The targeted objective: to identify and analize an improvement proposal to the inventory sistem, that allows to stablish a revelant information sistem to make decitions. This way one answer the question that leaded the development of this project.
