The focus of the article is to define the term “didactic transposition,” which constitutes the basis for the conversion of the findings and conclusions of scientific communities into school material by academic communities. The article draws on some scholars who have focused their research on didactic transposition.El objetivo principal del presente artículo no es otro que el de trazar algunas líneas teóricas y conceptuales en torno a la didáctica, considerada como una disciplina que se traslapa en la disciplina científica en proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. De manera precisa, el interés está centrado en dilucidar el término transposición didáctica, que se constituye en la base para la conversión de los productos de las comunidades científicas, a través de las comunidades académicas en la institución escolar.
