Summary:The main objective of this article is to present some theoretic elements about didactics, understood as a discipline that overlaps with the particular scientific discipline that is part of the teaching and learning process. The focus of the article is to define the term “didactic transposition,” which constitutes the basis for the conversion of the findings and conclusions of scientific communities into school material by academic communities. The article draws on some scholars who have focused their research on didactic transposition.
