Para lo anterior se entrevistaron ocho integrantes del área administrativa de cuatro empresas de diferentes sectores. Como resultado de dichas entrevistas se pudieron determinar algunos factores de éxito, fracaso y aspectos a tener en cuenta para facilitar el proceso de transición de los medios manuales a los sistematizados. Tomando en cuenta toda la información brindada por los entrevistados se pudo hacer un listado de las estrategias propuestas para la exitosa implementación de sistemas de información contable. Como conclusión general de este trabajo de investigación se determinó que los sistemas de información fungen una tarea muy importante en las organizaciones y para ello se debe contar con un personal altamente capacitado para el manejo e implementación de dichos sistemas de información contable.The following research work investigates the implementation of accounting information systems in SME-type companies. For the above, eight members of the administrative area of four companies from different sectors were interviewed. As a result of these interviews, it was possible to determine some factors of success, failure and aspects to take into account to facilitate the process of transition from manual to systematized media. Taking into account all the information provided by the interviewees, it was possible to make a list of the proposed strategies for the successful implementation of accounting information systems. As a general conclusion of this research work, it was determined that information systems play a very important task in organizations and for this it must have a highly trained staff for the management and implementation of such accounting information systems.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
