The project that refers to this articleproposed to apply the weaving techniques for the design of a product line that allowed the diversification and productive strengthening of the women’s group of the Foundation. Industrial design responds to the methodological application of social and participatory design, supported by the methodology of referents, which manages to merge its perspectives, projections and objectives towards the process of creating new products. The result is a line of illumination in stay, woven in crochet and with a design inspired by the iguana as a reference of an animal protected and recognized in the city.En la Fundación Ulpiano Tascón Quintero se reúnen señoras en edades avanzadas para instruirse en la técnica de tejido en croché. El proyecto que refiere este artículo propuso aplicar las técnicas de tejido para el diseño de una línea de productos que permitiera la diversificación y el fortalecimiento productivo del grupo de mujeres de la Fundación. El diseño industrial responde a la aplicación metodológica del diseño social y participativo, soportado por la metodología de referentes, que logra fusionar sus perspectivas, proyecciones y objetivos hacia el proceso de creación de nuevos productos.
