Faculdad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2018.Resumen: Este artículo tiene como objetivo conocer, comprender y reflexionar sobre las actitudes frente al amor y su relación con el ejercicio de la prostitución por parte de un grupo de mujeres del municipio de Pereira, cuyas edades oscilan entre 25 y 40 años, utilizando el método de la historia de vida, recopilada a partir de la técnica de la entrevista a profundidad. Esto posibilitó revelar aspectos cualitativos como las razones que mediatizan la decisión de ejercer la prostitución, evidenciándose el desempleo, la condición de madre cabeza de hogar, la carencia de ingresos, así como la posibilidad de acceder a ellos con menos requerimientos y condicionantes, además de los problemas perpetuados en las dinámicas familiares, entre otros. Igualmente, se hallaron otros resultados como el daño emocional, la baja autoestima, la incapacidad de enamoramiento, la desconfianza, la pérdida de sentido de vida, las ideas de muerte, como efectos y consecuencias de esta forma de organización laboral. \ Abstract: The objective of this article is to know, understand and reflect on attitudes towards love and its relationship with the exercise of prostitution by a group of women from the municipality of Pereira, whose ages range from 25 to 40 years, using the method of the life story, compiled from the technique of in-depth interview. This made it possible to reveal qualitative aspects such as the reasons that mediate the decision to exercise prostitution, evidencing unemployment, the condition of the head of the household, the lack of income, as well as the possibility of accessing them with fewer requirements and conditions, in addition to the problems perpetuated in family dynamics, among others. Likewise, other results were found, such as emotional damage, low self-esteem, inability to fall in love, distrust, loss of a sense of life, ideas of death, as effects and consequences of this form of work organization.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
