Evil eye as folk medicine isexposed as a predominant practice, in the perspective ofthe following categories: pedagogy, oral tradition, andlocal policies. Oral tradition and afro memory act as afundamental part in the educative practices of this place,where ancestral knowledge is confi rmed to strengthen thepolitical participation of the diversity.Este texto surge en el proceso de investigación en la vereda El Guamal del municipio de Supía - Caldas, específicamente en las tradiciones orales de la comunidad afro, contada por los mayores, que hablan desde tradiciones orales situadas y autogeo-refenciada. Donde se afirma el valor de lo propio, a partir de las prácticas de tradición oral. Orientado por la pedagogía de la diferenciación como diseño metodológico. Se expone la curandería (mal de ojo), como práctica predominante, en perspectiva de las siguientes categorías: pedagogización, tradición oral y política de lugar.
