Summary: | In this research the color removal through electrolytic process, followed by direct filtration with six different doses of Al2 (SO4)3 for the Parana river potabilization in Ilha Solteira-São Paulo was evaluated. The treatment efficiency on raw water and with addition of humic substances to reach up true color values near to 70, 100, 200 and 400 Hu, with and without titanium dioxide addition was monitored. The processes combination for the different tests reported apparent color reductions up to 15 Hu, maximum permitted value by theBrazilian drinking water guidelines. |
