Facultad de Ciencias Básicas e Ingeniería, Pereira, 2019En la presente monografía se abordan inicialmente dos conceptos importantes para las organizaciones, los cuales son estudiados de manera individual y posteriormente son interrelacionados, donde se incluye; la “Teoría de la Organización Industrial, TOI” y el postulado de la “Reacción en Cadena de W. Edwards Deming”. El primero visto desde la Microeconomía como un estudio de los mercados, principalmente aquellos que no se encuentran dentro de una competencia perfecta. Dentro de la TOI se encuentra “el paradigma Estructura- Conducta-Desempeño” visto y explicado de forma independiente y analizados desde el concepto antiguo y el actual. Seguidamente se contextualiza al lector desde la “Conducta Estratégica en las Empresas” que se presenta a nivel internacional, nacional y regional, para dar paso a la explicación del postulado de “la Reacción en Cadena de Edwards Deming” y cómo se dan sus orígenes desde Japón en los años 40 para, posteriormente explicar las variables que conforman el postulado desde la implementación de la calidad que incide en la productividad y a su vez en la competitividad de las organizaciones. Finalmente, se pretende establecer una relación entre la TOI, desde las “Conductas Estratégicas en las Empresas” y el postulado de Deming en la implementación de la calidad en los procesos con el fin de aprovechar mejor los recursos y así facilitar a la industria metalmecánica de Risaralda la implementación de innovación, investigación, tecnología e integraciones estratégicas para mejorar el posicionamiento en el mercado. \ Abstract: In the present monograph, two important concepts are initially addressed to organizations, which are studied individually and subsequently are interrelated, where it is included; the "Theory of Industrial Organization, TOI" and the postulate of the "Reaction in Chain of W. Edwards Deming". The first seen from Microeconomics as a study of markets, mainly those that are not within a perfect competition. Within the TOI is "the Structure-Conduct-Performance paradigm" seen and explained independently and analyzed from the old and the current concept. Then the reader is contextualized from the "Strategic behavior in companies" that is presented at international, national and regional level, to give way to the explanation of the postulate of "the Reaction in Chain of Edwards Deming" and how its origins are given from Japan in the 40 years to subsequently explain the variables that make up the postulate from the implementation of quality that affects productivity and in turn in the competitiveness of organizations.
