Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2015 El presente trabajo expone un diagnóstico externo e interno del sector salud animal en la ciudad de Pereira a partir de la implementación de las matrices EFE y EFI, en donde se identifican los factores claves de éxito para la industria, posteriormente se plantean las estrategias pertinentes y consecuentes de la realización de la matriz DOFA. Este modelo de direccionamiento estratégico se implementó basándose principalmente en las teorías y metodologías propuestas por los autores Michael Porter y Humberto Serna. Dicho modelo se direcciono a la empresa Vital Mascotas S.A.S, una empresa perteneciente al subsector de la salud animal, en donde su actividad principal es la prestación de servicio de atención pre-hospitalaria a domicilio para mascotas, específicamente perros y gatos que se encuentren afiliados a la empresa y estén ubicados dentro del área de cobertura.This paper presents an external and internal diagnostics of the animal health sector in the city of Pereira from the implementation of the EFE and EFI matrices, where the key success factors for the industry are identified, then the relevant strategies involved and consequent to the completion of the SWOT matrix. This model was implemented strategic direction based mainly on the theories and methodologies proposed by authors Michael Porter and Humberto Serna.
