La falta de apoyo, patrocinio y difusión de este deporte obedece a la creencia o imaginario que tiene la sociedad, que el fútbol es un juego solo para hombres y que la mujer que lo practica pierde su feminidad y se vuelve brusca o agresiva. Como consecuencia, la atención hacia las mujeres se ve permeada por el machismo de la sociedad del siglo XXI. La realización de esta investigación tiene como propósito exponer crítica y ampliamente la situación de la mujer futbolista, sometida a representaciones socioculturales de lo femenino que ya ha sido preestablecido en la sociedad con una influencia masculina muy arraigada, describiendo además la posibilidad de la mujer alrededor del fútbol para que se convierta en una herramienta de motivación para las mujeres de la nueva generación. / Abstract: Until now, women's football in Colombia has managed, with difficulties, to find a space in society, however, there are historical and social aspects that prevent the true development of this sport in the country. The lack of support, sponsorship and dissemination of this sport is due to the belief or imaginary that society has, that football is a game only for men and that the woman who practices it loses her femininity and becomes abrupt or aggressive. As a consequence, attention to women is permeated by the machismo of 21st century society. The purpose of this research is to expose critically and widely the situation of women soccer players, subject to socio-cultural representations of the feminine that has already been pre-established in society with a deeply entrenched male influence, also describing the possibility of women around the football to become a motivational tool for women of the new generation.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
