Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2018.Recientemente la población de agentes de tránsito ha generado cierta preocupación, y un importante estudio toxicológico en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia, el cual es uno de los principales referentes teóricos del proyecto, el cual dirigido por Alba Isabel Rodríguez Pulido lo ha demostrado, revelando que, a diferencia de cualquier transeúnte, los agentes de tránsito son una población vulnerable y ocupacionalmente expuesta de manera directa y constante a las partículas de la polución provenientes de las fuentes móviles ocasionando alteraciones respiratorias, adicionando además y que si utilizaran productos de protección respiratoria, estos constituirían un gran factor de protección. Pero esto no es algo que solamente sucede en la capital del país, en otras ciudades los efectos del crecimiento automotor ya comenzaron a producir su impacto en la salud de los ciudadanos y estudios locales desarrollados entre los años 2012 y 2013 en la ciudad de Pereira han corroborado, que por su posición estratégica al ser una ciudad de paso obligatorio, sus dinámicas de crecimiento por la migración rural proyectan un impacto que las partículas provenientes del parque automotor alcanzarían entre los años 2018 y 2020. Es entonces, en donde el presente proyecto a través de la metodología Design Thinking en el proceso investigativo, con sondeos e interacciones con la población de agentes y desde la dirección del Instituto de Movilidad de Pereira, pudo comprobarse el potencial comercial de aplicación del presente proyecto que se justifica no solamente en las alteraciones respiratorias presentadas en los agentes operativos de la ciudad, sino también en que los productos de protección respiratoria comerciales no se adaptan a las necesidades del servicio, razón por la cual no se protegen. De modo que se planteó una solución de diseño que tuvo como objetivo disminuir la vulnerabilidad de alteraciones respiratorias en los agentes de tránsito operativos de la ciudad de Pereira, logrando proponer a través de un proceso creativo de brainstorming, un dispositivo personal de protección respiratoria especializado para esta población llamado Aegis, validado en factores formal-estéticos, antropométricos y uso en un proceso de prototipado iterativo con un usuario real y aportes de expertos con un objetivo específico decisivo, la re-configuración tradicional entre filtros y respirador el cual logró cumplir con los requerimientos funcionales y estéticos del servicio de los agentes de control de tráfico del Instituto de Movilidad de Pereira. / Abstract: Recently the population of transit agents has generated some concern, and a major toxicological study in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, which is one of the main theoretical references of the project, which led by Alba Isabel Rodríguez Pulido has shown, revealing that, unlike any bystander, transit agents are a vulnerable population and occupationally exposed directly and constantly to the particles of pollution from mobile sources causing respiratory alterations, adding in addition and that if they use respiratory protection products, these would be a great protection factor.
