En este sentido, el objetivo de este estudio fue identificar la relación entre la IE y el Estrés Laboral en el personal de enfermería del Hospital Departamental San Antonio del municipio de Roldanillo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 29 enfermeras y 2 enfermeros a quienes se les aplicaron el TMMS-24 que mide dimensiones de la inteligencia emocional y el EAE-S para medir los niveles de estrés. Se identificó que en general existieron niveles adecuados frente a la atención emocional, la claridad y la reparación emocional. El 43% de la muestra obtuvo niveles altos de estrés, lo cual indica la existencia de estrés en una parte importante de esta población. No se encontró una correlación significativa entre la variable IE y estrés laboral. Abstract: The study of emotional EI in nursing professionals has shown to be a skill that favors work well-being and reduces the probability of suffering from high levels of stress (Nespereira and Vasquez, 2017; Mesa, 2019; Soto et al, 2020) that can affect the physical, emotional and psychological integrity of these health professionals who consequently face hostile scenarios due to the nature of the work they perform. In this sense, the objective of this study was to identify the relationship between EI and Work Stress in the nursing staff of the San Antonio Departmental Hospital of the municipality of Roldanillo. The sample consisted of 29 nurses and 2 nurses to whom the TMMS-24 was applied, which measures dimensions of emotional intelligence and the EAE-S to measure stress levels. It was identified that, in general, there were adequate levels of emotional attention, clarity and emotional repair. 43% of the sample obtained high levels of stress, which indicates the existence of stress in an important part of this population.
