Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2000En el departamento del Quindio se encuentra el municipio de Salento, un pueblo que se caracteriza por una increíble ubicación geográfica y por el calor humano que brinda sus habitantes a los forasteros o turistas que buscan allí un descanso.Dentro de las posibilidades que ofrecen a sus visitantes están los paseos ecológicos por el valle del Cocora y los Bosques de Niebla, en los cuales también se brindan alojamiento en haciendas adecuadas especialmente para los turistas, que proceden de diferentes partes del país e inclusive de diferentes partes del mundo. Ya dentro del municipio se observan diferentes actividades que se ofrecen al turistas, una de ellas es el paseo por la calle Real para realizar compras en los diferentes establecimientos de artesanías, otra actividades es disfrutar de las comidas que se ofrecen en el marco de la plazo, es precisamente ahí en donde se lleva a cabo este proyecto de grado y se muestra como el diseño industrial realiza su aporte con el desarrollo de un modulo como solución a los inconvenientes de espacio publico y ausencia de identidad cultural entre otros.Este proyecto se apoya en la investigación realizada por el estudiante Eduardo Valencia en el municipio durante el año 1999, por el aporte de los conocimientos de Javier Beana y Luis Fernanado Ríos asesores del proyecto, por el apoyo y colaboración del Departamento de planeacion del municipio y la información e interés del comité de protección Arqueológica del Quindio gerencia de Cultura. Con la información necesaria se lleva a acabo un proceso de desarrollo formal vinculado no solo forma como factor estético, sino forma en relación a su expresión cultural en una fusión coherente con su entorno físico, cultural y psicológico /Abstract: In the department of Quindio is the municipality of Salento, a town that is characterized by an incredible geographical location and by the human warmth that its inhabitants offer to foreigners or tourists who seek a rest there. Within the possibilities that They offer their visitors ecological tours through the Cocora Valley and the Fog Forests, in which accommodation is also provided in haciendas suitable especially for tourists, who come from different parts of the country and even from different parts of the world. Within the municipality there are different activities that are offered to tourists, one of them is the walk along Calle Real to make purchases in the different craft establishments, another activity is to enjoy the meals that are offered within the framework of the period , it is precisely there where this degree project is carried out and shows how industrial design makes its contribution with the development of a module as a solution to the inconveniences of public space and lack of cultural identity, among others.
