The objective of this intervention was to implement techniques from the cognitive-behavioral approach, to reduce the symptoms of social anxiety, which allows improving the quality of life of the patient. The sample consisted of a 10-year-old patient belonging to the Dulce Nombre de Jesús Educational Institution - Las Majaguas Headquarters, to whom the CMASR-2 questionnaire was applied, which evaluates the level and nature of anxiety in children. , through yes or no answers within a format. this particular patient, high levels of defensiveness and social anxiety are reflected, notoriously affecting his personal and social development, taking this into account, an intervention plan was carried out in which different cognitive-behavioral techniques were carried out such as (psychoeducation , muscle relaxation therapy, diaphragmatic therapy and the self-instruction technique).El DSM-5 define la ansiedad social como un miedo o ansiedad intensa a una o más situaciones sociales en las que un individuo está expuesto al posible examen por parte de otras personas. El objetivo de esta intervención fue implementar técnicas desde el enfoque cognitivo-conductual, para disminuir los síntomas de la ansiedad social, lo cual permita mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente. La muestra estuvo conformada por un paciente de 10 años de edad perteneciente a la Institución Educativa Dulce Nombre de Jesús - Sede Las Majaguas, a este se le aplicó el cuestionario CMASR-2, el cual evalúa el nivel y la naturaleza de la ansiedad en niños, a través de respuestas sí o no dentro de un formato.
