La construcción de la masculinidad se encuentra mediada por diferentes factores, entre ellos el contexto social pero también la cultura, por ello no hay una sola forma de ser masculino sino por el contrario muchas formas en las que el ser masculino puede ser expresado. El estudio de las masculinidades trae consigo la necesidad de identificar que el feminismo y los estudios de género aportaron a tomar en consideración como objeto de estudio a los hombres y la masculinidad, y que como proceso ulterior tuvo como resultado el estudio de las masculinidades. Esta reflexión teórica sobre los hombres y su masculinidad dio cuenta de un contexto social en el cual la mayoría de los hombres se encuentran inscritos en modelos de masculinidad hegemónica. Este tipo de masculinidad tiene una tendencia negativa ya que en general se encuentra en una condición de superioridad frente a los demás, cosa que lleva a que existan malestares que en efecto tienen consecuencias en las relaciones de género, en las mujeres y en los propios hombres, por ello esta investigación da cuenta de las expresiones de masculinidad desde el contexto pereirano por medio de una investigación periodística a profundidad y una plataforma web en la cual se muestra material audiovisual y sonoro en el que se evidencian las masculinidades no hegemónicas, además de problematizar las a modo de reflexión para cualquier persona que acceda a esta investigación./ Abstract: The present research project has as object of study the masculinities, the research made tries to show how these are constructed, to give an account of it a theoretical review work is done on the study of them from bibliographic contributions of national authors, but also of international authors. The construction of masculinity is mediated by different factors, among them the social context but also the culture, for that reason there is not only one way of being masculine but on the contrary many ways in which the masculine being can be expressed. The study of masculinities brings with it the need to identify that feminism and gender studies contributed to consider men and masculinity as an object of study, and that as a subsequent process it resulted in the study of masculinities. This theoretical reflection on men and their masculinity gave account of a social context in which the majority of men are inscribed in models of hegemonic masculinity. This type of masculinity has a negative tendency since in general it is in a condition of superiority over others, which leads to discomforts that in fact have consequences in gender relations, in women and in men themselves , this is why this research gives an account of masculinity expressions from the Pereira context through an in-depth journalistic investigation and a web platform in which audiovisual and sound material is shown in which non-hegemonic masculinities are evident, as well as problematizing them as a reflection for anyone who agrees to this investigation.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
