Description
Summary:In this article, reading in early childhood is affronted, understood in a broad sense, in which iconic and linguistic signs are read with the intention of constructing sense horizons, and meant across the interpretation and comprehension of texts. The reading is approached from the interaction between the child, the adults who accompany the stories and the text, emphasizing that the reading exceeds the decoding to become a phenomenon in which the subject finds answers to the enigmas, emotions and feelings. Therefore, knowing children's approaches to texts provide a glimpse how educators promote and encourage the desire for reading and the possibility of new meaning from this experience.
