Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2010Las empresas están inmersas en un mundo competitivo que genera en cada una de ellas una exigencia mayor en el mercado. Es por ello que el manejo de mercancía, el almacenamiento, el transporte y la manera como llegan al cliente son claves para la existencia y permanencia en el mercado. Diseñar un sistema de almacenamiento para la correcta ubicación de los productos en función a su rotación y adecuado abastecimiento en los puntos de venta, la agilidad y el correcto despacho de los pedidos, una excelente exhibición de los productos y demás herramientas que generan un buen servicio al cliente. La empresa, al fortalecer las debilidades que presenta en el área de ventas, tendrá una ventaja competitiva que se verá reflejada en la fidelización de clientes, es decir la ideología cambia en la medida que se sostengan los futuros compradores, generando de la misma manera, mayores ventas. Es por ello, que el sistema de almacenamiento, beneficiará a su vez a las demás áreas de la empresa, permitiendo de esta manera la integración de la cadena de suministros o la logística obteniendo resultados en función a la disminución de costos como a su vez en una mejor toma de decisiones, dando cumplimiento a los objetivos planteados. /Abstract: The companies are involved in a competitive world it generates in each of them a greater demand on the market. Therefore, the merchandise, management, storage, transport and the way they arrive at the client are key items to remain and exist in the market. This projector is to design a storage system for the proper placement of products according to their rotation and adequate supply outlets, agility and proper dispatch of orders, an excellent display of products and other tools that generate a good customer service. The company, by strengthen the weaknesses presented in the sales area, will have a competitive advantage that will be reflected in the loyalty of customers, ideology changes as they hold the future buyers, as a result the company will have higher sales. Therefore, the storage system, will benefit other areas of the company, allowing the integration of the supply chain or logistics, getting results in the reduction of cost and in a better decision taking by implementing the objectives.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
