Pereira, 2003El presente estudio obedece a la necesidad de conocer la forma como se han empleado los instrumentos de evaluación psicológica, para valorar a personas con discapacidad visual; cuáles son las pruebas que se utilizan y de qué forma son interpretados los datos. Teniendo en cuenta que no existe en Pereira una herramienta de evaluación Psicológica de la inteligencia para personas invidentes, esta investigación consistió en adaptar el material de las dos subescalas manipulativas del Test de Inteligencia Wais: Ejecución con Cubos y Clave de Números; a una muestra de cinco personas adultas de ambos sexos con ceguera congénita de la ciudad de Pereira. Se realizaron las adaptaciones correspondientes del material, teniendo en cuenta la pertinencia para la población. Se realizó una aplicación piloto del material adaptado de cubos, a tres sujetos quienes diferían de la muestra en lo que respecta a la adquisición de la ceguera, ya que estos no eran congénitos , dada la dificultad de la consecución con las misma características. Esta aplicación tuvo por objeto determinar el tamaño del material (puesto que se diseñaron dos) y comprobar que las instrucciones fueran bien comprendidas. La validación del material se realizó mediante la evaluación de todos los ítems por parte de los jueces expertos. En total no se hicieron modificaciones a la ejecución con cubos, caso contrario a lo sucedido con las claves de números. Con este material no se hizo prueba piloto, sólo la validación del experto. En cuanto al comportamiento de la muestra se encontró que hay una mejor ejecución en los diseños de menor complejidad, llegando a tener un tiempo de ejecución similar al estipulado en la prueba original del WAIS para videntes. /Abstract: The present study responds to the need to know how psychological evaluation instruments have been used to evaluate people with visual disabilities; What tests are used and how the data are interpreted. Taking into account that there is no psychological evaluation tool of intelligence for blind people in Pereira, this research consisted of adapting the material of the two manipulative subscales of the Wais Intelligence Test: Execution with Cubes and Number Key; to a sample of five adults of both sexes with congenital blindness from the city of Pereira. The corresponding adaptations of the material were made, taking into account the relevance for the population. A pilot application of the adapted cube material was carried out on three subjects who differed from the sample with regard to the acquisition of blindness, since these were not congenital, given the difficulty of achieving it with the same characteristics. The purpose of this application was to determine the size of the material (since two were designed) and to check that the instructions were well understood. The validation of the material was carried out by evaluating all the items by the expert judges. In total, no modifications were made to the execution with cubes, contrary to what happened with the number keys. No pilot testing was done with this material, only expert validation.
