Estudio cualitativo de corte hermenéutico-dialéctico, su análisis se basa en la interpretación de significados y el diálogo responde a tres sacerdotes de la Diócesis de Pereira y dos de la Arquidiócesis de Popayán, mediante la entrevista a profundidad, registros del discurso oral y escrito, artefactos de grabación y formatos específicos. Los hallazgos se centran en las percepciones sobre la vida y la muerte que tienen los sacerdotes y que se asocian a la crianza, estilos de vida, escolaridad, experiencia laboral, contextos de interacción y edad. El prepararse constantemente para asumir la muerte como realidad natural. Aceptan el componente biológico y el religioso es el que da sentido y quien se suicida tiene vacíos afectivos. En los sacerdotes hay fluctuaciones emocionales e indignación al no poder evitar el suicidio, aunque la Iglesia católica ha hecho unos avances en sus articulados frente al suicidio. Abstract: The objective of this article is to interpret meanings about suicide and its link with the religious discourses of a group of Catholic priests in Colombia 2022. Qualitative study of hermeneutic-dialectic cut, its analysis is based on the interpretation of meanings and dialogue responds to three priests of the Diocese of Pereira and two of the Archdiocese of Popayán, through in-depth interview, records of oral and written discourse, recording artifacts and specific formats. The findings focus on the perceptions about life and death that priests have and that are associated with upbringing, lifestyles, schooling, work experience, contexts of interaction and age. Constantly preparing to assume death as a natural reality. They accept the biological component and the religious component is the one that gives meaning and those who commit suicide have affective voids. In priests there are emotional fluctuations and indignation at not being able to prevent suicide, although the Catholic Church has made some progress in its articles on suicide.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
