This idea is developed through this essay on a progressive way, starting for clarifying that the values do not depend on the person’s subjectivity and they are not valuable because we like them, on the contrary, we like them because they are valuable. The hypothesis that men are confusing the value of the things whith the things themselves, by taking advantage of the contributions of contemporary analysts and critics such as G. Lipovetsky, V. Verdú, Z. Bauman y P. Virilio is supported. Finally, three alternatives for solving this problematic are proposed.El artículo presenta una reflexión sobre la mal llamada crisis de valores tratando de argumentar que no estamos asistiendo propiamente a una crisis de valores en cuanto a su desaparición, sino a una crisis de percepción de los valores. Esta idea es desarrollada en el presente ensayo de forma progresiva comenzando por aclarar que los valores no dependen de la subjetividad de la persona y no valen porque nos agraden sino que por el contrario, nos agradan porque valen. Posteriormente se soporta la hipótesis de que el hombre está confundiendo el valor de las cosas con las cosas mismas, aprovechando los aportes de analistas y críticos de la contemporaneidad como G. Lipovetsky, V. Verdú, Z. Bauman y P. Virilio.
