Por tanto, se propone como sitio de intervención la manzana 84, (calle 19 /18 carrera 7 / 8) del centro de Pereira, con el fin de recuperar el edificio patrimonial Antiguo Teatro Caldas, articulando la propuesta con los edificios aledaños. Entendiendo la manzana desde su vocación y sus actividades actuales, se propone la intervención del edificio patrimonial Antiguo Teatro Caldas como extensión de la alcaldía de Pereira, con el fin de responder a un problema actual el cual se relaciona con la falta de espacio en sus dependencias. Teniendo en cuenta la actividad actual del teatro en su primer piso, se plantea una propuesta que respete la actividad comercial; pero que recupere los pisos en desuso del teatro. Adicional a esto se busca recuperar la parte central del inmueble que es la sala principal de teatro y utilizarlo como auditorio de la alcaldía, convirtiéndose así en un punto de referencia para las actividades culturales en la ciudad. Abstract : This work shows the research process carried out in the ninth and tenth semesters in the optional (atlas of a revised center), in which it is possible to understand the city under the hypothesis of an expanded center, achieving an understanding of the city in order to carry out a design exercise that articulates with the existing. Therefore, it is proposed as an intervention site block 84, (street 19/18 race 7/8) of the center of Pereira, in order to recover the heritage building Caldas Old Theater, articulating the proposal with the surrounding buildings. Understanding the apple from its vocation and its current activities, the intervention of the patrimonial building Antiguo Teatro Caldas is proposed as an extension of the town hall of Pereira, in order to respond to a current problem which is related to the lack of space in its dependencies. Taking into account the current activity of the theater on its first floor, a proposal that respects commercial activity is proposed; but to recover the disused floors of the theater.
