Se tuvo en cuenta el desarrollo logístico que ha tenido la región desde la creación del AMCO en el año 2013. El objetivo general fue examinar el aporte del proyecto plataforma logística del eje cafetero (PLEC) al desarrollo logístico del AMCO, en relación al CONPES 3547 del 2008. Esta investigación tuvo un enfoque cualitativo, de corte descriptivo, cuasi-experimental cuyos participantes o población fueron 5 entidades públicas y 1 público-privada aquellas que tiene relación con la formulación y aplicabilidad de proyectos en materia logística para el AMCO. El instrumento utilizado para recopilar la información fue la entrevista con la Plataforma Logística del Eje Cafetero PLEC, se determinó que los objetivos del CONPES 3547 como crear el entorno institucional encargado del desempeño logístico, generar información logística, corredores logísticos especializados, promover la facilitación del comercio exterior, promover el uso de las TICS, fomentar los servicios de calidad en logística y transporte, aplican al enfoque que determina la Política Nacional Logística para la región AMCO con la puesta en marcha de la PLEC. Lo que permitirá una logística eficiente para las empresas, acompañada de reducción de costos, mejora de la calidad y servicio, aprovechamiento de las redes de distribución, acceso a sistemas avanzados, entre otras ventajas competitivas no solo para las organizaciones sino también para el AMCO y a nivel nacional. /Abstract: This present research work took place in the Central West Metropolitan Area, of which the city of Pereira, Dosquebradas y la Virginia are part, took into account the development that the region has had since the creation of AMCO in 2013. The general objective was to examine the contribution of the logistics platform project of the coffee axis (PLEC) to the logistical development of AMCO, in relation to CONPES 3547 of 2008. This research had a qualitative, descriptive, quasi-experimental approach whose participants or population were 5 public entities and 1 public-private those that are related to the formulation and applicability of projects in logistics for the AMCO. The instrument used to collect the information was the interview with Logistic Platform Eje Cafetero PLEC, it was determined that the objectives of CONPES 3547, such as creating the institutional environment in charge of logistics performance, generating logistics information, specialized logistics corridors, promoting facilitation of foreign trade, promote the use of tics, promote quality services in logistics and transport, applied to the approach that determined the National Logistics Policy for the AMCO region with the start – up of PLEC.
