Para ello, se trabaja con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo y con un muestreo no probabilístico compuesto por 334 participantes (F=278 – M=56) pertenecientes a 5 instituciones de Pereira, Armenia y Cartago. Los instrumentos son el UWES - 9 (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003) y una ficha de datos sociodemográficos en el que se pregunta sobre el tipo de contrato. El análisis estadístico se hace a partir de la prueba Kolmogorov-Smirnov-S y el Kruskal-Wallis, ya que el comportamiento de los datos es asimétrico. Los resultados muestran que no hay diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre el work engagement y los tipos de contrato (.576; .903; .597). Los impactos se entienden a nivel económico y social, además se busca contribuir en las políticas y prácticas organizacionales de las instituciones. This study analyzes the difference between the work engagement and the type of contract in health personnel of several health institutions of the Eje Cafetero. For this, we work with a quantitative approach, of a descriptive type and with a non-probabilistic sampling composed of 334 participants (M=278 – H=56) from 5 institutions in Pereira, Armenia and Cartago. \ Abstract: The instruments are the UWES - 9 (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003) and a sociodemographic data sheet that asks about the type of contract. The statistical analysis is made from the Kolmogorov - Smirnov - S test and the Kruskal - Wallis, since the behavior of the data is asymmetric. The results show that there are no statistically significant differences between work engagement and contract types (.576; .903; .597).
