Summary:Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is not philanthropy, but a return to stakeholders within the community that companies belong to. This article illustrates a case study calledEntrepreneurs for Education (ExE). The article shows how the State and business people are working together in Colombia's coffee region around the notion of CSR—related in particular to the issue of human capital and community—to determine whether CSR is a tool that can be used to promote integral development.
