This Project consists of designing an exporter of green diferentiated coffee micro lots for La Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio (COOCAFEQ), which has presence in the nine municipalities of Quindio. It has the headquarter in Quimbaya, which is one of them. In order to develop this degree work it was made a pilot test where it could be showed the possibility to perform an export plan, based on the information given by the manager of the company, who gave the permission to develop this project. In addition, it was determined that La Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio is capable to export micro lots of differentiated coffee because it has: the machinery, the people, the raw material and other aspects required for the process. This information was corroborated to make a diagnosis of the company where it was taken into account the following aspects: company situation, technical analysis of financial marketing and competitiveness. Then, it was identified the opportunity that the associated people has to venture in international markets, selecting as a destination Toronto City, Canada. It was based on the matrix of pre selection of Procolombia because its main supplier of green coffee is Colombia, with which it has TLC (Tratado de Libre Comercio), that came into force the August 15th of 2011, encouraging the marketing of coffee with a tariff of 0 %. Additional to this, it was taken advantage of the accompaniment that has been given to the Canadian Cooperative Association to the entity, for this reason it was necessary to take the decision of export not only a coffee with excellent quality, but also with a social impact where it will be benefited a population of 30 growers between men and women, reflecting gender quality, this last point has a relevant factor for the Canadian people, who are willing to pay a better price if they are sure that their purchase will contribute to the progress of a region. After having made a detailed study of Canada, it was necessary to make a plan of action where, marketing strategies and marketing promotions were determined, in which it is intended to present the coffee of La cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio. It was established the trading conditions CIP to identify the responsibilities of the person who is making the export: (Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio), since it will be used the airplanes as a mean of transportation with the purpose of preserving the freshness and the quality of the product. It will be used the specially coffee shop of Tim Hortons as a distribution channel by which the product will be marketed and it will be known among the Canadian consumers. |

It will be used the specially coffee shop of Tim Hortons as a distribution channel by which the product will be marketed and it will be known among the Canadian consumers.Este proyecto consiste en diseñar un plan exportador de microlotes de café verde diferenciado desde la Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindío (COOCAFEQ), la cual tiene presencia en nueve de los doce municipios del departamento, teniendo como sede principal el municipio de Quimbaya. Para desarrollar este trabajo se hizo una prueba piloto donde se evidencio la posibilidad de llevar a cabo un plan exportador, basándose en la información suministrada por el gerente de la entidad, quien dio vía libre para diseñar el proyecto, además se determinó que la Cooperativa inicialmente está en capacidad de exportar microlotes de café verde diferenciado debido a que cuenta con la maquinaria, el personal, la materia prima y demás aspectos requeridos para el proceso, información que fue corroborada al efectuar un diagnóstico de la empresa donde se tuvieron en cuenta los siguientes aspectos: situación de la empresa, análisis de comercialización, financiero, técnico y de competitividad. Posteriormente se identificó la oportunidad que tienen los asociados para incursionar en mercados internacionales, seleccionando como destino la ciudad de Toronto Canadá basados en la matriz de preselección de Procolombia, ya que su principal proveedor de café verde es Colombia, con el cual tiene un TLC que entró en vigencia el 15 de agosto del año 2011, favoreciendo la comercialización del café con un arancel del 0%. Adicional a ello se aprovechó el acompañamiento que ha venido brindando la Asociación Canadiense de Cooperativas a la entidad, por esta razón se eligió exportar un café no solo de excelente calidad, sino con un impacto social donde se verá beneficiada una población de 30 caficultores entre hombres y mujeres resaltando la equidad de género, factor relevante para los canadienses quienes están dispuestos a pagar un mejor precio si se tiene la certeza que con su compra están contribuyendo al progreso de una región. Después de realizar un estudio detallado de Canadá, se procedió a efectuar un plan de acción donde se determinaron las estrategias de mercadeo, promoción y comercialización con las cuales se pretende dar a conocer el café de la Cooperativa, se estableció el termino de negociación CIP para identificar hasta donde llega la responsabilidad del exportador (Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindío) ya que se utilizará como medio de transporte el aéreo con el propósito de conservar la frescura y la calidad del producto.
