Summary: | This Project consists of designing an exporter of green diferentiated coffee micro lots for La Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio (COOCAFEQ), which has presence in the nine municipalities of Quindio. It has the headquarter in Quimbaya, which is one of them. In order to develop this degree work it was made a pilot test where it could be showed the possibility to perform an export plan, based on the information given by the manager of the company, who gave the permission to develop this project. In addition, it was determined that La Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio is capable to export micro lots of differentiated coffee because it has: the machinery, the people, the raw material and other aspects required for the process. This information was corroborated to make a diagnosis of the company where it was taken into account the following aspects: company situation, technical analysis of financial marketing and competitiveness. Then, it was identified the opportunity that the associated people has to venture in international markets, selecting as a destination Toronto City, Canada. It was based on the matrix of pre selection of Procolombia because its main supplier of green coffee is Colombia, with which it has TLC (Tratado de Libre Comercio), that came into force the August 15th of 2011, encouraging the marketing of coffee with a tariff of 0 %. Additional to this, it was taken advantage of the accompaniment that has been given to the Canadian Cooperative Association to the entity, for this reason it was necessary to take the decision of export not only a coffee with excellent quality, but also with a social impact where it will be benefited a population of 30 growers between men and women, reflecting gender quality, this last point has a relevant factor for the Canadian people, who are willing to pay a better price if they are sure that their purchase will contribute to the progress of a region. After having made a detailed study of Canada, it was necessary to make a plan of action where, marketing strategies and marketing promotions were determined, in which it is intended to present the coffee of La cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio. It was established the trading conditions CIP to identify the responsibilities of the person who is making the export: (Cooperativa de Caficultores del Quindio), since it will be used the airplanes as a mean of transportation with the purpose of preserving the freshness and the quality of the product. It will be used the specially coffee shop of Tim Hortons as a distribution channel by which the product will be marketed and it will be known among the Canadian consumers. |
