Summary: | This project is based on the qualitative approach, whose main objective is to build a socio – cultural structure through the social representations that children from 10 to 14 years old have in relations to the use of free time, from the educational institution Simón Rodríguez located in Armenia, Quindío. On the other hand, the instruments to collect the information and the qualitative data that are being used regarding this project are: field journals, semi – structured interviews and in – depth interviews. In fact, all that the information collected and was analyzed through a hand – made analysis and also the different research processes stablished in different categories, which emerge and will be compressed in the moments that are necessary leaving finally the most pertinent ones for the study through the hand – made analysis in a theoretical triangulation in order to determine which are the most relevant and valid data that is established in the main objective of this research project, which is the construction of a sociocultural structure mentioned above. The length of this research project is six months. Furthermore, the main results of it was to determine that the use of free time is directed according to a series of conditions and guidelines provided by the educational institution, both by the administrative side and by the limitation in terms of physical space. Besides, another result that stands out is that the social actors of this sociocultural context prefer to develop accompanied activities whenever possible promoting ethical- moral content despite of the fact of the vulnerable conditions of the sector 1 of the city. |
