Description
Summary:With the population old men growth in the world, have been created strategies to avoid that they become a social load, maintaining them useful and independent. For this reason, government entities have stimulated the creation of old adult groups, to improve them the quality of life. In Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda) city, the answer has been massive, being formed multiple groups that are coordinated by qualified people that don't reach to cover all the necessities. So, these groups program the activities of their own perspectives. Old Adult's group of Neighbourhood “El Paraíso”, subject of this investigation, is not unaware to these circumstances; they look for "well-being" in different meetings that they plan. But, Do they achieve satisfaction of the necessities, from the psychic, physical and socio-affective point of view with the activities that they execute in this group? Don’t they?. Using ethnographical descriptive research, the information was gathered with surveys and observation, that was tabulated and collected in categories to determine the obtaining of psychic, physical and socio affective benefits that are provided by the activities of the group, founding a predominance of interest to share with the other one, with ownership sense to the group and with spirit of changing the monotony that each one perceived; without being interested in the physical activity that profits their physical and psychic capacities. It was applied, a program in which elements were stimulated of each one of the physical, psychic and socio-affective aspects,, looking for an integral effect; using five types of activities like recreation, dance, theatre, aerobics and games in the water; to motivate them in the face of the novelty and several pedagogic methods were used as the imitation, movement tasks and resolution of problems; trying to involve them in the importance of the movement like prevention, maintenance and rehabilitation. During the execution, benefits were noticed in the three aspects but without introspection of the shown necessity.
