description This project aimed at general level interpreted from the theory of argumentation, the most frequent uses of it in opinion journalism, from the columns of the Colombian journalist María Jimena Duzan, published in the magazine Semana, between May 28 and 15 October 2011. The project also was delimited from three specific objectives that identified uses of language, theory of truth, objectivity and subjectivity, types of arguments and fallacies in the columns of the journalist, to contrast the theory of argumentation with the columns of Maria Jimena Duzan view and relate the theory of argumentation opinion journalism and contributions offered by the argument to journalism. The research method used was qualitative. Similarly, the project was kind of hermeneutic.

Similarly, the project was kind of hermeneutic.El presente proyecto de grado tuvo como objetivo general interpretar desde la teoría de la argumentación, los usos más recurrentes de ésta en el periodismo de opinión, a partir de las columnas de la periodista colombiana María Jimena Duzán, publicadas en la Revista Semana, entre el 28 de mayo y el 15 de octubre del año 2011. Asimismo, el proyecto se delimitó a partir de tres objetivos específicos que permitieron identificar usos del lenguaje, teoría de la verdad, objetividad y subjetividad, tipos de argumentos y falacias en las columnas de la periodista; contrastar la teoría de la argumentación con las columnas de opinión de María Jimena Duzán y relacionar la teoría de la argumentación con el periodismo de opinión y los aportes que brinda la argumentación al periodismo. El método de investigación que se utilizó fue el cualitativo.
