Summary: | The business sector in the north of Armenia city is formed in its majority by microenterprises, inside it, it predominates the service and commerce sector, where it is highlighted food selling and personal items selling respectively. The presence of these microenterprises have their basis in the different educative, financial and health entities that are located in this area, which group a big quantity of demands of this kind of services and goods. It is important to mention that these microenterprises present different shortcomings in an internal level in topics about marketing, legality, organizational structure and accounting management, that do not allow a major permanence in the market and positive results with growing, improvement and better profitability projections. Besides presenting discrepancies referring to regulatory directives about Armenia’s Land-Use plan. As a consequence of lacking internal and external aspects’ application, above-mentioned by businessmen, there were not obtained effective and transcendental results in these small productive units that have become in a permanent or temporally livelihood to many families. Nevertheless, the labor opportunities are not wide where the majority hire one or two people, even in the short term, the microenterprises’ owners are exposed to termination of business, economic losses and debts acquisition. In this manner, it is necessary to provide a major attention to this kind of organizations, since the improvement in their processes would bring a positive effect to Quindío society and the business sector in the city. |
