Summary:Feasibility study arises from the productive Cauca Valle bet. Yellow Pitaya is a product that is widely accepted in the international market, thus evidencing research project feasibility and design. Today, good nutrition plays an important role in the daily routine, allowing healthy habits. Scientific studies have concluded that; high consumption of fruits has a lower incidence of disease; therefore fruits and health are two words that are linked to social welfare. Within the wide variety of exotic fruit are highlighted, COLOMBIA has advantages in terms of production, species, size and interest of their consumption. The yellow pitaya is a clear example; in recent years has indicated a positive trend in consumption due to its properties and flavor, with growing demand in the international market. This research begins with the formulation of objectives and approaches, which are developed according to the design of the study to determine its feasibility as a project for export of the fruit that targets the Netherlands. Market intelligence and financial analysis are vital tools for project development, because it indicates the future consumers and places for commercialization, demonstrating the project's profitability by simulating sales, planned costs and expenses to six years.
