Summary:The strategy was implemented under the thematic of educational Institution General Santander in the municipality of Montenegro, department of Quindío, is working with four facilitators of tenth grade and headed to 105 sivth grade students (urtake of water and wastewater treatment, water use, consequences for not taking care of water and how to save water at home), initially made a diagnostic test which was geared to determine the knowledge level and contextualization of the topic in the population object, then it stated the training, each of them use a test at the beginning and the would repeat the same at the end of the session. For the results that we applied the statistical test of Kruscal – Wallis to evaluate the effect of the intervention on a global destination and then the sing test to determine differences between initial and final knowledge in each of the questions. The results showed a significant change between the initial and final knowledge, demonstrating the effectiveness of each of the interventions.
