Description
Summary:The following is an action research project that focuses on the pertinent implementation of the different nonverbal types of communication such as facial expressions gestures, voice quality, body movements, proxemics, etc. when teaching. Teachers must be aware of these nonverbal communication types and apply them properly when teaching English as Foreign Language because they influence students’ learning process. To carry out this research, the researchers trained a teacher using a nonverbal communication plan as reference to perform his classes implementing nonverbal cues in a proper way, to analyze them and to see their influence on students’ English learning. The investigators implemented some surveys, interviews and tests to students to arrive at a conclusion in what concerns the influence of nonverbal communication techniques in English learning among ninth graders.
