Nowadays, the financial accountant model is recognized and applied in more times than before, shifting economic content standards, pointing to realities of different conceptual and practical conditions as in social and environmental practices. |

Nowadays, the financial accountant model is recognized and applied in more times than before, shifting economic content standards, pointing to realities of different conceptual and practical conditions as in social and environmental practices.El presente trabajo pretende formular los conceptos de riqueza y mantenimiento de la riqueza, incluyendo elementos de carácter económico, social y ambiental, con el objetivo de determinar un concepto de mayor pertinencia para la posterior formulación de una estructura conceptual general de los modelos contables, la cual será el inicio para la construcción de nuevos modelos contables, más acordes en la representación de realidades de diversa índole y no solamente la realidad económica, contribuyendo finalmente a la generación de información fidedigna que sea soporte para una correcta toma de decisiones. Sin embargo, los modelos contables, sus elementos y características fundamentales se han estructurado a lo largo del tiempo de acuerdo a las necesidades de información de las organizaciones y de las personas y de acuerdo a la realidad objeto de estudio de la contabilidad. Sin embargo, en la actualidad se reconoce y aplica en mayor medida el modelo contable financiero, trasladando criterios de contenido económico, hacia realidades de diferentes condiciones conceptuales y prácticas como la social y la ambiental.1.
