Para el estudiante de zootecnia de la UNAD, este tipo de herramientas posibilita de manera efectiva su aprendizaje, ya que de manera asincrónica puede utilizar dichas herramientas para afianzar el conocimiento requerido cuantas veces lo requiera permitiendo profundizar y entender a cabalidad los diferentes procesos involucrados en las técnicas; en este caso el de inseminación artificial y cómo los factores fisiológicos reproductivos intervienen en el proceso (Ministerio de Educación Nacional Colombiano, 2006). El origen del término “Objeto Virtuales de Aprendizaje" se atribuye a Wayne Hodgins en 1992, quien asoció los bloques LEGO® con bloques de aprendizaje normalizados, con fines de reutilización en procesos educativos. En este mismo año 2006 el Ministerio de Educación Nacional Colombiano dio inicio a un proyecto con el fin poner en marcha una comunidad de práctica alrededor del tema de consolidación de bancos de Objetos e iniciar la catalogación y adaptación del material educativo digital, para conformar el Banco Nacional de Objetos Virtuales de Aprendizaje e Informativos (Ministerio de Educación Nacional Colombiano, 2006). Las metodologías aplicadas en esta investigación están dividas en tres fases. La primera tiene como propósito identificar las diferentes unidades temáticas para el análisis para el desarrollo de un Objetivo Virtual de Aprendizaje, OVA, para el curso de reproducción 9 animal enfocado la inseminación Artificial a término fijo en ganado bovino. Se aplica el método de consulta en las diferentes publicaciones existentes en la elaboración, entendimiento y compresión de los Objetivos Virtuales de Aprendizaje, OVA, con especial importancia en los recursos disponibles en la red de Colombia aprende “La red de conocimiento" del Ministerio de Educación Colombiana. La segunda fase tiene el propósito de recopilar las diferentes teorías a utilizar que integran el concepto de la inseminación artificial para el desarrollo pedagógico en la trasferencia de conocimiento. Esto se realiza mediante la creación de un guion explicativo para el diseño del Objetivo Virtual de Aprendizaje, OVA. La finalidad de la tercera fase es el desarrollo del Objetivo Virtual de Aprendizaje, el cual se elabora mediante la simulación de las diversas técnicas y procesos involucrados en el proceso de la inseminación artificial en el ganado bovino. Para esto se utilizan los software After effects que se utiliza para el diseño y animación, conjugado con el Adobe Premier para la edición y generación de caracteres.
