Durante observaciones y evaluaciones iniciales, se identificaron deficiencias significativas en estas habilidades motoras, afectando no solo el desempeño en educación física, sino también aspectos emocionales y sociales como la autoestima y la integración grupal. El estudio combina un enfoque metodológico mixto que incluye evaluaciones cualitativas y cuantitativas para diagnosticar el estado de desarrollo motor de los estudiantes. Además, se diseñó una propuesta didáctica basada en juegos tradicionales para abordar estas falencias y promover el aprendizaje significativo, la interacción social y la preservación cultural. Los juegos tradicionales se destacaron como una herramienta pedagógica que facilita el aprendizaje dinámico, fomenta valores, refuerza la identidad cultural y contribuye al desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. Autores como Gallahue, Piaget y Vygotsky respaldan la relevancia del juego en el desarrollo motor, cognitivo y social. Los resultados de la investigación evidencian que la práctica de juegos tradicionales no solo mejora las habilidades motoras, sino que también genera un impacto positivo en la percepción de los estudiantes sobre la importancia del juego y la cultura. Esta estrategia contribuye a superar el tradicionalismo educativo y a valorar las raíces culturales como un medio para enriquecer el proceso educativo y promover estilos de vida activos y saludables.
