Description
Summary:Changes in the behaviour of steels to carbon, for three different finishes, surfaces were determined to be nitride by atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge. The surfaces were characterized both morphologically and structurally before and after the treatment. The techniques used were: measurement of roughness and electrochemical testing (Tafel). Results show changes differential depending on the type of finish, but in any case, an improvement of corrosion resistance.
