Visual and refractive outcomes were evaluated after LASIK was performed in 1 step (lamellar cut and ablation in 1 procedure) or 2 steps (lamellar cut then ablation in 2 successive procedures). Setting: Department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Vissum–Instituto Oftalmológico de Alicante, University of Miguel Hernández, Alicante, Spain. Methods: In this prospective observational study, 22 consecutive eyes were divided into 2 groups depending on the LASIK procedure performed to correct post-PKP astigmatism. Group 1 (1-step LASIK) included 11 eyes and Group 2 (2-step LASIK), 11 eyes. The patients were followed for 6 months. Results: A statistically significant improvement was obtained in Group 2 with a mean vector analysis result of the cylinder of –4.37 diopters (D) ± 1.79 (SD) (P = .018). In Group 1, the mean astigmatism correction was 2.38 ± 1.71 D. The number of reoperations and residual refractive defects were significantly better in Group 2. Conclusion: The 2-step technique improved the accuracy of excimer laser correction of post-PKP astigmatism.application/pdf10.1016/j.jcrs.2004.04.0480886-3350https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/handle/001/3693engJournal of Cataract and Refractive SurgeryJournal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery;Vol. 30 (11), pp. 2303-2310. 2004Derechos Reservados - Universidad de Santander, 2004info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC 4.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0886335004006662?via%3DihubLaserkeratomileusisPost-keratoplasty astigmatismLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism : 1-Step versus 2-step procedureArtículo de revistahttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Textinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/ARTinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85PublicationLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain; charset=utf-859https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/bitstreams/e9ec6cdf-e8ab-4ad7-a90b-e1cdd6b95b15/download38d94cf55aa1bf2dac1a736ac45c881cMD52THUMBNAILLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.PNG.jpgLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.PNG.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg1343https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/bitstreams/9681437e-ee78-4683-8053-d0ac1b5973cd/download5a3db35e45fadd18caf3dbc32b430f07MD53Laser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdf.jpgLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg1404https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/bitstreams/35af36ad-5896-4cbf-a34d-bed77c683a0d/downloadf56bbd42e248b65a52ed11a0fe79215dMD56ORIGINALLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdfLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdfapplication/pdf270008https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/bitstreams/5a811fa5-f327-4e01-ad54-ef49b7ad73c2/download3891d8fe6c836c248360b5b440295a3bMD54TEXTLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdf.txtLaser in situ keratomileusis to correct post-keratoplasty astigmatism. 1-Step versus 2-step procedure.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain2https://repositorio.udes.edu.co/bitstreams/3d9490c0-c902-4157-80f4-61a62af86a73/downloadd784fa8b6d98d27699781bd9a7cf19f0MD55001/3693oai:repositorio.udes.edu.co:001/36932023-10-10 08:30:24.018https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/Derechos Reservados - Universidad de Santander, 2004https://repositorio.udes.edu.coRepositorio Universidad de Santandersoporte@metabiblioteca.comTGljZW5jaWEgZGUgUHVibGljYWNpw7NuIFVERVMKRGlyZWN0cmljZXMgZGUgVVNPIHkgQUNDRVNPCgo=
