Variables como la pigmentación desempeñan un rol protector frente a la presentación de MPP y PM.The genetic and nutritional advances of the last 50 years to improve the efficiency of the poultry industry saturated the animal model, which led to metabolic and structural problems in the breast muscles, changes in organoleptic characteristics, impacts on the industry. The following study seeks to evaluate the factors associated with the prevalence of wood breast (PM) and deep pectoral myopathy (MPP) in municipalities of the department of Santander, Colombia. The analysis of 896 batches in 173 farms were sampled, for a total of 8,987,242 broilers of 5-7 weeks old destined for slaughter with an average weight of 2,800g. The data were analyzed in “SPSS Statistics V25”, performing association tests by Pearson's X2, prevalence ratio, Spearman's correlation and Odds ratio for risk assessment. The confidence level used in the research was 95%. The general prevalence in the municipalities of Santander was 9.0% for MPP and 18.9% for PM. A statistically significant association was found between the prevalence of PPM and the categories of race, sex, type, age and municipality, in the same way for PM an association was found between sex, type and municipality. The productive variables show a significant correlation, but of low intensity. Risk factors were associated with the RossAp breed, male and traditional for MPP and male, traditional for PM. It is concluded that the presence of MPP and PM are associated with productive factors and variables of the batch such as sex, type, breed and municipality. Variables such as pigmentation perform a protective role against the presentation of MPP and PM.EspecializaciónEspecialista en Sanidad Animal1 ed.Introducción ................................................................................................................................................ 12 Planteamiento del Problema ....................................................................................................................... 14 Marco Teórico ............................................................................................................................................. 16 Miopatía Pectoral Profunda ........................................................................................................................ 16 Pechuga de Madera (PM) ............................................................................................................................ 18 Características Macroscópicas .................................................................................................................... 18 Características Microscópicas ..................................................................................................................... 18 Materiales y Métodos .................................................................................................................................. 20 Muestra ....................................................................................................................................................... 20 Proceso de Beneficio ................................................................................................................................... 20 Identificación .............................................................................................................................................. 21 Cálculo de Variables de Producción ........................................................................................................... 22 Análisis Estadístico ..................................................................................................................................... 22 Resultados y Discusión ............................................................................................................................... 24 Prevalencia de Miopatía Pectoral Profunda ................................................................................................ 24 Prevalencia de Pechuga de Madera ............................................................................................................. 25 Correlaciones .............................................................................................................................................. 27 Regresión Logística .................................................................................................................................... 30 Conclusiones ............................................................................................................................................... 3339 papplication/pdfT 65.21 R461fhttps://repositorio.udes.edu.co/handle/001/5718spaUniversidad de SantanderFacultad de Ciencias Exactas, Naturales y AgropecuariasBucaramanga, ColombiaEspecialización en Sanidad AnimalDerechos Reservados - Universidad de Santander, 2021info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Miopatía Pectoral ProfundaPechuga de MaderaFactores de RiesgoWooden BreastRisk FactorsDeep Pectoral MyopathyFactores Productivos Asociados a la Presencia de Miopatía Pectoral Profunda y Pechuga de Madera en Pollo de Engorde en Municipios del Departamento de Santander, ColombiaTrabajo de grado - Especializaciónhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fTextinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttps://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TPhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_71e4c1898caa6e32Todas las AudienciasDalle Zotte, M.
