Description
Summary:The Nostalgia Market is made up of all those products that people who emigrate from one country to another country for various reasons yearn for. According to data provided by the travel agency (Aussie Life, 2018) "it is estimated that more than 50,000 Colombians travel to Australia each year, with young people being a considerable group among these travelers. According to official data from the Australian government, the Colombian community is expected to outnumber countries such as Chile and Brazil in terms of migration (Urrego, 2020). For this reason, it is considered relevant to characterize in the Nostalgia Market the needs and desires of Colombians from the Altiplano del Oriente Antioqueño established in Australia, in order to identify the opportunities offered by this Market, to present strategies to small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). Which generate opportunities for these, because " if the consumer feels an emotional bond that is linked to a positive experience of the past either through a melody, an image, an object or a place, he/she will feel willing to pay the price to relive it" (Nolasco Arroyo, 2016). The type of research is descriptive, cross-sectional design, qualitative approach, deductive method. The techniques for the achievement of the objective will be guided interviews to residents in Sídney, interviews to experts, and collection of primary and secondary information to make the respective analyses. It is expected to find a list of products that migrants from Eastern Antioquia miss the most and to know the entry requirements, tariff and non-tariff measures of said goods so that entrepreneurs in the region can take advantage of this market.
