These questions do that we ask us about the sense of the formation in research in the Higher Education.En la actualidad la tendencia general y el objetivo fundamental de las universidades, especialmente las del sector público en el país, se concentra en el concepto de la universidad fundamentada en la investigación; este hecho se hace evidente en los objetivos misionales y políticas de investigación que se plantean desde las instituciones. Sin embargo, ¿cuáles son las características de la función de investigación de la universidad en la “sociedad del conocimiento” o en “la sociedad de la información”?; ¿cómo se logra en el marco del desarrollo, inseparable de sus otras funciones básicas, de docencia y extensión? Estas preguntas nos remiten a la cuestión fundamental del presente artículo: el sentido de la formación en investigación en la Educación Superior.A universidade baseada na investigação é a tendência das mais importantes universidades de hoje em dia na Colômbia; provas disso são os objetivos missionais e as políticas de investigação delas.
