El desarrollo de AC ocasiona mala adherencia al tratamiento y síntomas persistentes. La AC podría ser más frecuente a la altura de Bogotá. Este estudio evaluó prevalencia de AC en adultos remitidos para titulación de CPAP en paciente con apnea obstructiva y la presencia de factores clínicos y del polisomnograma basal asociados. En 988 pacientes analizados, la prevalencia 11.6%. Requirieron mayor presión terapéutica (CPAP) presentan mayor índice de alertamientos (p < 0.001). Los factores asociados fueron apneas centrales en polisomnograma basal OR: 5.34 [3.49-8.17], antecedente de falla cardiaca OR: 2.53 [1.58-4.07] y sexo masculino OR: 1.72 [1.05-2.96].
