Relación entre inteligencia emocional y desarrollo moral en niños de 8 a 12 añosInteligencia emocionalDesarrollo infantilComportamiento de los estudiantes50 Páginas.50 Páginas.¿¿La inteligencia emocional (I.E.) es un constructo que actualmente cobra valor explicativo para la comprensión de los procesos de socialización (Kohlberg, 1971; Einsenberg, 2000; Lane, Wellman, Olson, LaBounty y Kerr, 2010). Diversos autores pioneros en el estudio de la I.E. reconocen un vacío empírico que impide aun sustentar la relación entre este constructo y la cognición social, específicamente el desarrollo moral (D.M.) (Pizarro & Salovey, 2002). El presente estudio tiene por objetivo reconocer el tipo de relación existente entre I.E. y D.M. a partir de la aplicación del inventario de BarOn ICE: NA ¿ NA que evalúa la inteligencia emocional en cinco dimensiones: Intrapersonal, interpersonal, adaptabilidad, manejo del estrés y estado de ánimo y el Moral Development Interview Inventory .La muestra aleatoria del estudio estuvo conformada por 63 niños y niñas entre los 8 a 12 años de edad estudiantes de un colegio distrital ubicado en el municipio de Chía, Cundinamarca, Colombia. Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados por medio de la prueba U-Mann Whitney y el Modelo de Superficie de Respuesta (MSR). Los resultados demostraron que existe una interacción sinérgica entre la dimensión interpersonal de la I.E. y el desarrollo moral, se encontró que a mayor desarrollo en las habilidades interpersonales, mayor es el desarrollo moral del individuo y que altos niveles en la dimensión intrapersonal pueden inhibir dicho desarrollo. Igualmente se observan diferencias significativas en los puntajes I. E. y D.
