El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación ha sido el rescate de la memoria histórica y cultural del municipio de El Socorro, mostrado en un primer volumen como una guía histórica-gráfica para difundir leyendas y acontecimientos históricos de una manera innovadora. Con este fin la pregunta de investigación fué la siguiente: ¿De qué manera se puede impulsar la difusión de la historia, cultura y tradición desde sus inicios poblacionales en el municipio de El Socorro y el departamento de Santander? En este contexto, la problemática detectada sobre la falta de difusión de la historia, cultura y tradición desde sus inicios poblacionales en el municipio de El Socorro y el departamento de Santander, consiguió tener una importancia relevante para el departamento de lecturarte de la institución y un impacto importante en los participantes, así como en la comunidad educativa en general. La pregunta de investigación se respondió involucrando de forma directa a la comunidad educativa del Colegio Siglo XXI mediante el desarrollo de una acción investigativa de una manera experimental con el uso de herramientas tales como, el teatro, la fotografía y el bilingüismo sobre las leyendas narradas de los inicios poblacionales del municipio de El Socorro. El resultado obtenido fué un primer volumen con el nombre TELLING MY HISTORY ¿ Volumen 1 ¿ Primeros Pobladores-. De hecho, a partir de este trabajo investigativo se inició el desarrollo de nuevas muestras escritas sobre la cronología de los hechos históricos relevantes. ocurridos en la provincia comunera y que trascendieron en la historia nacional.Making known the beginnings of a town and its historical processes is a wonderful job that from the classroom can transform and build new knowledge. The objective of this research work has been the rescue of the historical and cultural memory of the municipality of El Socorro shown in a first volume as a historical-graphic guide to spread legends and historical events in an innovative way. To this end, the research question is as follows: How can the dissemination of history, culture and tradition be promoted from its population beginnings in the municipality of El Socorro and the department of Santander?
