Se contó con una población de 271 trabajadores profesionales de una organización privada de salud en Colombia, quienes respondieron tres instrumentos utilizados en estudios previos. Se platean dos hipótesis de investigación: primero, las demandas de extensión de la jornada y de expectativa de disponibilidad reflejan la intensificación del trabajo; segundo, la intensificación del trabajo tiene una influencia negativa sobre el distanciamiento psicológico del trabajo. Los resultados obtenidos a través de análisis de regresión soportan las hipótesis.
