La revisión teórica esta dividida en: qué es el VIH, desarrollo, manifestaciones sintomáticas y repercusiones a nivel físico y psicológico; posteriormente se pretenderá referenciar información concerniente a las estrategias psicológicas de afrontamiento, su categorización, su función dentro del proceso de resiliencia. Finalmente se pretenderá una conclusión coyuntural desde la generación de supuestos que aporten a la intervención de la psicología en el campo de la salud.
