Mediante un diseño cuasi experimental pre-post, 24 estudiantes entre 15 y 18 a¿nos fueron evaluados antes y después de participar en la hackatón con un cuestionario y su producción escrita después de la hackatón para medir redacción científica, análisis e interpretación de gráficas y apropiación conceptual, tres habilidades científicas que se consideran clave por ser integradoras y estar estrechamente relacionadas entre sí. Análisis mediante visualizaciones de radar permitieron evaluar de manera integral el desempeño en las habilidades científicas, manteniendo coherencia con una visión cooperativa entre las habilidades. Por su parte, una prueba t de Student evidenció diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre las mediciones, sugiriendo mejora atribuible a la estrategia.
